Description

The biggest danger with high-powered drum machines is that the spring may flip or buckle when it hits a hard blockage. The RIDGID K-400 tackles this problem with its unique Cable Control System. Once the cutting head gets stuck in a blockage, the drum stops rotating as soon as the spring gets too much tension. This prevents damage to the spring and greatly extends the life of your material.

No more lugging heavy machines down stairs or through narrow hallways. The K-400 is mounted on a sturdy chassis with large, sturdy wheels. The handle is collapsible, allowing the machine to fit effortlessly into any service van. The machine comes standard with the "Solid Core" Integral Wound (IW) spring. This spring is stiffer and stronger than standard springs, transferring more torque to the cutting head for effective removal of roots, grease and lime.
