Description
Previously, when a FlexShaft cable kinked or damaged at the end, it often meant the end of the cable or a complicated repair with compression sleeves. The Ridgid FlexShaft Repair Coupler changes that. Because this coupler uses a screw connection instead of a crimp connection, you don't need special pressing pliers. Two standard socket wrenches are sufficient to put the coupling securely on the cable.
A major advantage of this design is its reusability. Should the cable be damaged again later, simply unscrew the coupler, shorten the cable again and reinstall the same coupler. Although this reduces the total cable length slightly, it saves you the cost of a completely new cable set.
Note: This coupler is specifically designed for the newer generation of DeadCore cables (identified by the gray/metallic color) and is only compatible with the "+" models of the K9-102 and K9-204.
