Description
When working with a powerful machine such as the K-1500, the spring builds up tremendous torque. When the rotating spring runs directly over the edge of a concrete manhole, this concrete acts like a file. The Ridgid A17 manhole guide completely eliminates this contact. By feeding the spring through the smooth inside of the guide, you prevent premature wear and breakage of your segment springs.
Another big advantage is stability. Without a conductor, a spring that comes under tension can "loop" in the open space of the manhole. The A17 keeps the cable locked up and focused on the target: the blockage. This gives you as the operator much more control and feel for what is happening at the end of the spring, even when you are meters above the actual sewer pipe.
